You may have been searching around the Internet looking for a great costume for your boy or girl to wear this trick or treat and come across examples of boys hunter costumes and girls huntress costumes for sale at big stores like Amazon, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us etc and wondered why they are so popular. Well, one of the main reasons is probably to do with the popularity of zombie movies and TV shows like Walking Dead and it is just natural to want to emulate the hero type character that goes after the ghoulish monsters.
Hunt Down Those Zombies
So the hunter theme is not what you might expect to be so much of the great white hunter of the African plains as the great neighborhood hunter of undead beings that have risen from the grave to terrorize our communities. In a purely fictional sense, of course!
While they may be only a figment of the imaginations of many a Hollywood producer, accountant and maybe a bank manager or several, their presence of both big and small screens makes them a popular target for kids who like to involve them somehow in their fantasy role play on Trick or Treat. But not all kids want to dress up as zombies.
Plenty more want to dress up as the heroic vanquisher of said ghouls and stamp their authority on the neighborood as keen huntsmen and women who bravely seek out the zombie hoards and dispatch them with courageousness and valor.
Playing Heroes
That's right, plenty of kids want to play the heroes and heroines of their favorite TV shows and movies. So why not the hunters of the undead?
Well, that's the center of this discussion, really. Since the heroes in this case are the destroyers of the zombie armies who arrive on the scene to save the day and keep us all safe in our beds at night!
Oh, and one other thing you should probably remember too. That is IT'S FUN!
